CEO of Nvidia Corp. Jensen Huang unveiled a new group of AI-related goods and services in an effort to further cash in on the craze that has made his company the most valuable chipmaker in the world. Huang told the crowd at the Computex show in Taiwan that the extensive new lineup includes an AI supercomputer platform called DGX GH200 that will assist tech companies in developing ChatGPT substitutes. Some of the first users of that equipment are anticipated to be Google, Meta Platforms Inc., and Microsoft Corp.
In an effort to reduce the price of creating advertisements, Nvidia is also working with WPP Plc. It is launching a networking service that is intended to boost data center information transfer rates. Additionally, the business wants to alter how people play video games: AI will be used by a service called Nvidia ACE for Games to give background characters more life and personality.
The traditional tech industry architecture, according to Huang, is no longer evolving quickly enough to keep up with the demands of complex computing tasks. Customers are increasingly turning to accelerated computing and graphics processing units, or GPUs, like those produced by Nvidia, to realize the full potential of AI.
The rapid-fire announcements highlight Nvidia's transformation from a producer of computer graphics chips to a leader in the AI boom. Huang gave a stunning sales forecast for the current quarter last week, almost $4 billion above analysts' expectations due to demand for AI-capable data-center chips. As a result, the stock reached a record high and Nvidia's valuation approached $1 trillion for the first time in the chip industry.

Huang also demonstrated how generative AI can take input in the form of words and produce different types of media. In one instance, he requested music appropriate for the early morning. In another, he wrote down a few lyrics before using AI to create a catchy pop song from the concept.
